Well its been a while since I last updated, but now I got more time to work on things. Here is the Station I was working on and I was able to add more detail to it and try to go for that more broken used look. hope you like.
here are some levels I worked on. I worked on the terrain textures, some of the modelling for the props, and prop placements. I also adjusted the ground terrain and did some of the ambient and environment lighting.I also had a chance to design some of levels from scratch.
Here is one of the maps I worked on for the new project I am working on. I worked on the first pass and basic layout for certain areas of the map. I also worked directly with the Designer to get the level up to 90%.
This is a scene that a coworker and I were working on. we both did separate pieces of the scene. I have only the ones that i worked on textured and displayed. I placed all the textures on one page for easier viewing. (click on pictures to enlarge)
Here is a radio tower I have created for a racing game. I tried to add as much detail to the textures rather then the the geometry to keep the poly count low. I also placed all the textures on one page for easier viewing.
here is another prop set of road signs for a racing game I am currently working on. I made simple signs reused all over the race tracks. Like the other posts I put the textures on one page.
Me zombie, me eat brains...mmmm. No, no my name is Joel and I currently work at Petroglyph Games as an Video Game Environment/Prop artist. I flat out enjoy 3D modeling and texturing. I Wouldn't think of anything else to do. I went to ITT Tech and got a Bachelors in Digital Entertainment and Game Design. At the moment I am working on new projects for work and personal projects with other artist. I am always on look for new projects and ideas that other people would like to work on with me.
